Redwood Forest Floor
The most
northern areas of California have a variety of redwood forests.
This photograph was taken in the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park
near Crescent City, California. With no living creature to be
seen, the immense scale of these trees is difficult to imagine.
We hope many of you make the journey to experience the scents, the
silence and the size of redwood trees.
NOTE: This forest (or one nearby, the California Parks
Department has changed its website since this photograph was made) was a filming location for the movie,
