Mt. Shuksan is in the North Cascades, next to Mt. Baker and only a few miles from the Canadian border. Although Mt. Shuksan is in a remote area, it's one of the most photographed mountains in the world because you can drive to this lake. It's also popular because there are so many scenic views. This photograph was taken on a day in late September when wild blueberry bushes and vine maples were in full autumn color. |
