  Battery 247 Hinge

Another of Gary's photographs that has a sense of mystery.  Perhaps it makes you ask "What is it?"  In this case, "It" is one hinge on a rusting metal door to the powder room at Fort Canby's Battery 247, one of three Harbor Defense installations designed to protect the mouth of the Columbia River during World War II.
